Germany Vs Turkey – Clash Of The Titans.
Germany will host Turkey in a Euro 2012 qualifacation match tomorrow at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, 8:45 (Local time). The match is highly anticipated. The bookies make the young German sides, strong favourites to beat Turkey tomorrow, but they may be underestimating the Turks. Both teams have respectably scored near enough the same amount and conceded nearly the same amount; Germany scoring 7 and conceding and Turkey scoring 6, and conceding 2. The Germans are coming off a strong World Cup performance and also winning their two opening matches against Azerbaijan and Belgium, respectively.
Injuries in the German camp mean Schweinstiger and Jansen are out of the game. While these two can be easily replaced with the massive amount of talent in the German pool, Turkey are finding it hard to replace Arda Turan who was injured in training and may be out for the rest off the season. This is a major blow for Turkey.
Around 30,000 Turkish football fans are expected to attend this game, Germany will be playing two away games against Turkey in the qualifiers.
Hamit Altintop has also blasted Ozil’s decision to play for Germany. Altintop said that playing for another country comes out of purely selfish reasons. He added that if Mesut had opted for Turkey, he would not have been playing for Real Madrid, he is business minded, and sometimes playing for your country takes heart.
Nuri Sahin added that he has no problems taking on the country in which he was born in and also the match is very special to him.
“Although I am a Turk, I am also more than a little German. This is a very special game for me.”
Turkey’s predicted Lineup:
—————Volkan—————–
Gönül—Ömer—Servet—Köybasi
————-Aurelio—————-
Hamit—–Emre—–Nuri—–Tuncay
—————-Mevlüt—————-
Personal Prediction:
Germany 2-3 Turkey
I believe Turkey can pull off the unexpected. We are all very optimistic about this match, and everybody in Turkey will be watching this match; I believe the Crescent Stars won’t disappoint us. Haydi Turkiye!
The reason for Turkeys bad performance was that we was missing Arda Turan and Hiddink, fielded the most horrible lineup I’ve ever seen, (under the impression that Oguz Cetin picked the squad).

The abscence of Turan doesn’t make any difference, so did the abscence of Schweinsteiger. A high-class team wins against a good opposition 3:0 without their presumably “best” players (Ballack and Schweinsteiger). That’s what Germany did. There’s no need for silly excuses.
Let’s not forget – it was a home game on the road for Turkey.
That’s like saying loosing Ronaldo doesn’t make a difference for Portugal. I’m not making any silly excuses, I’m just saying that if we had Turan on, it could have made a difference. We couldn’t get into any positions without him taking on players.

Yeah without Arda turkey is nothing. Look at Portugal, without ronaldo last 2 matches they did shit, when he was back they got back on track,
Ballack and Schweinsteiger are good, but germany still has all there good players in there matches.
I think Turkey still has bad defence, that is the big problem, we have good mid and forward, but defence is lacking it, we concede the goals that are really not supposed to be goals.
Volkan did great until last goal, i think he got too tired and last goal came from that
If a game desperately needs one key player to work well, something’s wrong nevertheless.

The revenge of the Ottoman. I can remember Sahin scoring against Kahn on his first cap. Now Özil redeemed Germany with his 2:0. Was a watchable match, but then again, Germany simply outclassed Turkey when the pressure went up.
