The “Professor” of Football, Fatih Terim

April 13th, 2008 | By: Musab | No Comments »

In Turkey everyone knows Fatih Terim as the “Imparator”, the Emperor of Turkish football. He managed Galatasaray for six years and in that time he led Galatasaray to 4 league titles, 2 Turkish cups, 1 UEFA cup, and 1 UEFA Cup. He also is responsible for the cultivation of many Turkish footballers such as Emre Belezoglu, Tugay Kerimoglu, Fatih Akyel, just to name a few.

He had also managed Italian footballing giants Fiorentina and A.C. Milan. And now with the national team he has brought them to the Euro 2008 tournament after missing out at the world cup. He is known worldwide as a master of attacking football and is able to will victories out of his players. Most likely he’ll be going on to another European club after the summer tournament.

And now this past week Fatih Terim was pronounced “professor of football” by Fatih University in Istanbul. Man. Who would have known that one day Fatih Terim would be wearing this get-up.
