I knew the Turks were gonna win after that 2-2, but I thought it was gonna happen in the extra time, not 2 minutes later. Great match from both ends, very entertaining.

I agree with you, I’m dissapointed with Nihat, Tuncay and Hamit but I hope they will do better and for christ sake WHY DO WE HAVE TURQUOISE UNIFORMS.. well guess it’s because of nike but it’s so ruining our style.

Asel Ömürkızı: Very well said. I agree that the indivdual players need to work toggether for the best results, but let’s not forget that during the Switzerland match, the pitch was completely water washed. As a result, team play suffered. My view on Arda is that while he’s very talented technically, he can sometimes get lost in the match, espeially when he gets tired towards the end.

It sounds more to me like Belgium will have a tough time qualifying for the 2010 World Cup with Turkey and Spain in their qualifying group. At first I was thinking that Turkey might be beatable for Belgium, but I don’t know now.

I completely agree with you on your praises and disappointments, and after the match with Switzerland Arda Turan has to be the star of the team…
I also would like to add, FOR GOD’S SAKE IT SHOULD BE A TEAM WORK NOT BUNCH OF PLAYERS who randomly got together… In my opinion, especially in the first half, it was a mess!!! Something terrible was going on… defenders were lazy sucking at defending; forwards didn’t try hard, and pretty much sucked most of the way through; midfielders were just running around although Arda Turan did a very good job… passes and footworks were terrible also!!! well maybe it was the weather, but still it was miserable for me to watch the match. My heart was tearing apart at every point whenever swiss(turk) players would get hold of the ball… Only Volkan made my time watching the game happy, ok and Arda as well
but thank God in the 2nd half closer to the end it was more of a teamwork, but still they need to work on it! since it’s a NATIONAL TEAM not Cim bom, Fener, BJK or etc. these teams should stay back home at these kinds of events, it shouldn’t be in the way of the TEAM! for it is not only the TEAM’s victory it’s the fans’, supporters’, and most importantly Turkiye’s.
I hope on Sunday Turkiye will be shining bright in our hearts after the victory inshallah

I can’t wait for the match on Sunday to see the Turks in red again. Those turquoise kits are appalling!

With my luck though, the bar will be showing the Portugal game– my bar is full of frontrunning little wankers in Man U jerseys.
